I Live My Life As Taught By the Lyrics of Ace of Base

It's true...I haven't updated this in awhile. Part of that is due to the fact that I really haven't done much traveling for the company. However...travel I have done.

I realized today how much my day to day life is predicated upon the things I learned from Ace of Base. I saw the sign...and it turned my life around...I saw the sign. If it wasn't for that sign, I could have easily driven right past my exit and ended up somewhere in San Diego. Now I realize that San Diego isn't the worst spot that I could ever get stranded, (consider the Ft. Lauderdale airport for 3 days), however, it is not where my work is. If I didn't show up to work, I wouldn't get paid, (nor would I get so much product), and if I didn't get paid, I couldn't enjoy my O.C.-riffic lifestyle that I am coming to enjoy. So seeing that sign, it turned my life around, I saw the sign.

Speaking of turning around...Don't. Don't turn around, because you will see my heart breaking, don't turn around, you will start seeing me cry...but you won't finish seeing me cry because I will turn and run...run like a politician in November. Ok, you can turn around, but watch out for that sign.

So to bring both of my readers up to speed in my life, first, the Holidays were fantastic. I spent one evening in the Las Vegas airport the Friday before Christmas. Let me tell you! Sleeping on that smelly carpet that crawled with vermin of all sorts of gambling type was SO worth the $40 I saved to get that early flight in the morning. I did realize one thing...I am not as young as I used to be when I used to hang out in airports. The joints were a bit more achy. (Is that a real word? I declare it so.)

Christmas itself was one of the best that I can remember. I was able to spend it with many of my family members, and two of my all-time favorite nieces. The trip to Utah was enjoyable and I saw a spectacular feat of bladder control as my sister, (whose life I ruined at the 2002 Olympics), went 13 hours straight without having to use a restroom. Kudos to her.

New Years was a wonderful time that I got to spend with my girlfriend and her family. We were also able to enjoy that down-home, small town tradition of the Ward Breakfast on New Years day. To think that this tradition has been going on for over 25 years. Amazing.

And now it is the year of 007. I have started introducing myself everywhere I go as Dog...Liffdog. My one and only goal for this year is to watch every single James Bond Movie before 2008.

In closing...I wish you the greatest year that you could possibly imagine. Where ever you are, and in whatever stage of life you are in...make the most of it. Life is about living. And never forget those immortal words from Ace of Base: No one's going to drag you up, into the light, where you belong...but where DO you belong?
